Reports to: CFOPay Range: $125kGENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Director of Business Intelligence and Analytics will focus on refining and continuously improving AI-driven processes for long-term crop planning, customer segmentation, and revenue optimization. This position will integrate diverse data sources, such as macroeconomic and weather data, into analytical models and develop AI business intelligence tools. The role requires becoming the primary power user of Tableau, developing standard and ad hoc reports, and interfacing with data providers like Nielsen/Technomic. Additionally, the position involves restructuring internal data hierarchies, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the forecasting and budget-building processes.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Refinement and continuous improvement of AI-driven long-term forecasting processes for crop planning

Solve for supply-driven shortages’ impact on forecasts

Review data sources that can be integrated with internal sales data for deeper analysis (e.g., macroeconomic, weather patterns in supply and demand regions, Y/N allocation markers, etc.)Refinement and integration of AI-driven customer segmentation models into decision-making/prioritization processes

Allocation strategiesAppointment prioritizationVisibility to Sr. Management of customer value based on multiple criteria

Refinement of AI-driven real-time revenue optimization and integration into executable processes for the sales teamDevelopment of AI business intelligence using a common language interface (ask a question, get thorough analytical response)Future vetting and validation of AI providers and project development for other applicationsTableau

Become the primary power user of Tableau within the companyDevelop standard reports in sync with high-level initiatives and business metrics to be used by senior and mid-level managersAd hoc reporting as necessary

Interface with data providers to receive and organize retail and foodservice industry dataAssist the Sales team in positioning Church Brothers as the industry leader in understanding trends, forecasting, and new product innovationReview possible supplementary data sources for forecastingData Modeling

Restructure internal hierarchies for product and customer as necessary to ensure reporting via Tableau or AI resources is accurate and meaningfulSpot check new items, new customers, and item costing inputs to ensure consistency and accuracyEnsure that item setup and spec development processes are in sync with data modeling goals for data integrity

Forecasting Process

Maintain an orderly process for volume forecasting regularly via current tools or future toolsProvide data management support for the annual budget-building process

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:5+ years in data analysis, AI, or machine learning, ideally in agriculture or the food industryProven experience with AI/ML models for forecasting, customer segmentation, and revenue optimizationAdvanced Tableau user, skilled in creating standard and ad hoc reportsExperience with industry data sources like Nielsen or Technomic and integrating their insightsStrong background in data modeling, ensuring data integrity and accuracyHands-on experience with volume forecasting and budget data managementProficient in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools, primarily TableauKnowledgeable in database management and data warehousingSKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated, reliable, and punctualAbility to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitaskGreat organizational skills and excellent customer service skillsAble to work respectfully and professionally with all levels of employeesAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram formWork onsite and meet the position’s attendance schedule, as required by the jobAbility to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situationsAbility to efficiently present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees, clients, and customers of the organizationChurch Brothers Farms is an equal opportunity employer.
