Who are we looking for?

As the Director of Software Quality, you will be responsible for all quality functions across multiple RCM SaaS products in the diagnostic and pharmacy markets. You will lead a team of quality assurance professionals, build a centralized Quality function, and align quality standards and processes across all products. Additionally, you will drive efforts to increase QA automation coverage and evaluate and apply responsible AI for quality and efficiency gains. You will collaborate closely with development, product management, and other stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in software quality. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and communication skills.

You may be hired as a Director or Sr. Director based on your depth of skill and breadth of experience.

What will you do?

Leadership:

Responsible for the structure and professional development of the Quality organization. Lead a high-performing team of quality assurance professionals embedded with the engineering teams to foster a unified culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Quality Standards & Strategy:

Establish and maintain comprehensive quality standards, processes, and procedures to ensure end-to-end review of all products.

Automation & AI:

Evaluate, align automation and AI process and methodology across teams, products, and connected systems. Measure and extend quality and efficiency improvements.

Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, infrastructure, and client services to integrate quality assurance processes throughout the software development lifecycle.

Continuous Improvement:

Drive initiatives to continuously enhance software quality, including automation, performance testing, and monitoring.

Risk Management:

Identify, assess, and mitigate quality risks throughout the software development process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Communication:

Effectively communicate quality objectives, progress, and issues to senior management and key stakeholders, advocating for quality as a strategic differentiator.

Resource Allocation:

Optimize resource allocation to achieve quality goals within cost constraints.

Metrics and Reporting:

Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and report on software quality, driving accountability and continuous improvement initiatives.

This is an onsite position at our office in

San Diego, Ca.

What education and experience do you need?

A combination of the following education and experience factors will be considered:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field;

Demonstrated leadership along with 10+ years of experience within software quality assurance, preferably in a SaaS environment.

Comprehensive understanding of software development methodologies, quality assurance processes, and best practices.

Deep experience with quality assurance tools and technologies, including test automation frameworks, defect tracking systems, and performance testing tools.

Familiarity with agile development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, and their impact on software quality processes.

Proven track record of delivering high-quality software products on schedule and within budget.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in quality management or related field (e.g., ASQ Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence).

Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and associated quality assurance challenges.

Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).

Experience with implementing and managing enterprise-wide quality management systems (QMS).

What does the position pay:

Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and geographic location. The expected range for this role is $185,000-200,000 annual base compensation. Please note this range is an estimate and actual may vary based on qualifications and experience.
