Under the direction of the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Administration and Sr. Executive Director of Finance & HR, the Assistant Director, Organizational Development has a leadership role in designing, implementing, and managing strategies and programs that enhance the organization's staff engagement & development effectiveness, efficiency, and overall performance, including but not limited to the following areas: onboarding, staff satisfaction and retention, recognition, learning and development, diversity and community programs, motivation, and overall well-being within the organization. This includes developing an organization-wide employee development strategy that aligns with Student Affairs values and priorities, fostering leadership development, collaborating with senior leadership around organizational change management, conducting regular assessments programs and trainings to enhance professional and workforce development opportunities, designing & planning staff retreats and signature Student Affairs staff programs.We invite you to apply to be part of a dynamic team in a supportive environment where you can use your organizational and interpersonal skills and attention to detail to enhance the overall effectiveness and employee engagement in the Student Affairs organization. 7-10 Years Progressive related experience.

(Required)Advanced analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills.

(Required)Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and evaluate programs and support services. (Required)Advanced skills in project management and program implementation. (Required)Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, reason, synthesize and generalize based on information obtained; sound judgement; ability to draw unbiased conclusions.

(Required)Knowledge and experience working with culturally diverse communities in a Student Affairs environment and with pressures encountered by staff looking to develop their skills within a major research university. (Required)Ability to work collaboratively in a consulting role to effect organizational change and strategic planning in a complex organization. (Required)Extensive knowledge of trends in the field of learning and development and experience with instructional design and training delivery methodologies. (Required)Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.

(Required)Ability to interact effectively with a diverse population including students, faculty, administrators, family members, and the general community, from a variety of cultural, educational, and socioeconomic backgrounds. (Required)Demonstrated knowledge of and sensitivity to diversity issues and the cultural needs of university staff from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds. (Required)Demonstrated understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion that includes but is not limited to race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, ability, socioeconomic level, religion, political persuasion. (Required)Knowledge of university policy and procedures, particularly around employee relations and human resources. (Preferred)

Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
