Our core values are the foundation that make us successful for ourselves, our customers, and the planet.Job/Position Description:Albemarle Corporation is seeking a Quality Systems Leader (QSL) to support the ISO 9001:2015 compliant quality management systems (QMS) at existing and new plant sites in North and South America. The QSL will work with site quality, operations, and other personnel to identify and implement all QMS elements necessary for IATF 16949 compliance projects. The QSL will also focus on QMS harmonization between Asia Pacific (APAC) sites and North and South America sites.The QSL will report to the Global Quality Center of Excellence Sr. Manager.What You Will Do:Coordinate with QMS leaders to ensure standardized implementation of QMS across all North and South America sites.Update existing and create new QMS policies and procedures, as necessary.Oversee adherence to ISO 9001:2015 standards, automotive standards, pharma standards, and ALB quality standards.Support ISO 9001:2015 improvement initiatives including IATF gap analysis at existing sites.Support the development of strategy and approach for implementation of IATF compliance at global sites for their QMS.Provide project management tracking and monitoring of global quality projects including the progress of IATF rollout activities.Develop training material related to QMS including IATF, and lead training implementation within the organization, contributing to a quality culture of continuous improvement.Apply deep understanding of quality best practices with business acumen and customer focus.Demonstrate effective communication, influencing, and change management skills while consistently making timely decisions even in the face of complexity.Maintain safety and quality mindset while demonstrating Albemarle Core Values.What You Bring:Required:In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and familiarity with IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 17025.Proficiency in control plans, FMEA, MSA & SPC along with familiarity of APQP & PPAP standards.Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering.5+ years of relevant experience in chemical or product manufacturing and Quality Management Systems.Data-based decision-making ability, problem solving, prioritization, and risk-based management skills.Ability to travel both domestically and internationally (approximately 25%).I’d be great if you also had:Experience with Chemistry and/or lithium-ion battery technology is preferred.Qualification as auditor/lead auditor in each standard preferred.Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty while operating in a global environment.Strong cultural sensitivity to manage relationships with people from all cultures.Benefits of Joining Albemarle:Competitive compensationA diverse array of resources to support you professionally and personally.We are partners to one another in pioneering new ways to be better for ourselves, our teams, and our communities.
