Data Scientist

who will apply innovative quantitative tools, including but not limited to: AI/ML based modeling and analytics, multivariate statistical and empirical modeling, data warehousing and data automation/tooling of complex data workflows. A successful candidate is expected to have advanced skills in modern data architecture, data modeling, and data visualization, as well as a working understanding of finance, procurement, and human resources.This role will interact with a wide range of cross-functional business partners at all levels to understand processes, analyze data, and articulate comprehensive value delivery (cost, speed, risk, quality, etc.)Objectives of this Role

Support design, build, and maintenance of a groundbreaking capability to analyze financial and non-financial information across the enterprise.Support the buildout of a sustainable platform for workforce transformation.Develop and maintain financial and non-financial baseline for programs and initiatives.Create a robust management reporting capability based on data mining, analysis, and visualization.Analyze data to answer key questions from senior leaders.Job Responsibilities:

Work closely with business and initiative leadership to define data sources and transformation needed.Develop a long-range plan for the enterprise.Manage the development and maintenance of data models and analytical toolsets.Assist in cross-functional analytics projects from beginning to end.Influence transformative thinking and decisions with analytical insights.Partner with business areas to share data standard methodologies.Assist in developing business cases and strategic recommendations.Interact with various finance and resource planning groups across Amgen.Develop executive communications and present analysis to Amgen's senior leadership.What We Expect Of You

The professional we seek is a candidate with these qualifications.Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degreeOrMasters degree and 2 years of relevant experienceOrBachelors degree and 4 years of relevant experienceOrAssociates degree and 8 years of relevant experienceOrHigh school diploma / GED and 10 years of relevant experience.Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree in relevant field and 4 years of relevant experience.Proficiency in coding (R, Python, SQL), data libraries.Experience with statistical/mathematical modeling.Experience processing and presenting large quantities of data.Experience with automating data workflows.Experience with developing analytical dashboards.Understanding of the Bio-Pharmaceutical industry.Critical thinking and teamwork skills.Comfortable in a
