ExemptWhat You'll be Responsible For in this Role:In this role, you will supervise sales activities of our organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors, such as formulating sales objectives and goals, developing training programs for sales reps, and participating on sales calls and engaging with both existing and new client and cultivating those relationships.This exciting career opportunity can lead to many other promotion opportunities within our organization. Sales Managers ensure that we fulfill our promise!Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales programAnalyzes individual sales representative’s sales to formulate a plan to assist in reaching of established goalsInvolved in product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales lineRepresents company at trade association meetings to promote productCoordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related unitsAssists other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical publicationsPrepares periodic sales report showing sales volume and potential salesDirects product research and developmentRecommends expenditures, and appropriations for research and development workAssists with daily sales problemsMaintain communications between management and sales representativesSubmits Quarterly Evaluation and Activity ReportMay assist other Sales Managers when they are on vacationMaintains own salesDevelop new businessConduct meetings with their sales teamAttends Sales Managers and General Sales meetings every 2 weeksProcessing of invalidsConduct quarterly call reviews with assigned sales personPerforms other duties and/or responsibilities as assignedHas the authority to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, and quality systemTo identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality systemTo initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channelsTo verify the implementation of solutions and control further processing or delivery of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been correctedPhysical AgilityPlease refer to the Orora North America Job Analysis ReportPerforms other duties and/or responsibilities as requestedWhat We’re Looking ForMinimum Qualifications:Four-year degree or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferably within the packaging industry or a related industryAdditional Required Qualifications:Business MasteryIntegrated LeadershipPeople DevelopmentChange ManagementIntellectual flexibility & technical acumenPreferred Qualifications:Ability to write reports, business correspondence. Ability to use whole numbers, common fractions and decimalsAbility to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphsAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulationsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customersAbility to solve practical problems.
