This role is critical to ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and safety of automated systems across production lines. The Automation Engineer will work closely with various departments to optimize production processes, reduce downtime, and improve overall operational performance.What you’ll be doing:Design & Implementation:

Develop, design, and implement automation systems and solutions for manufacturing processes, ensuring alignment with production requirements and company goals.Create and manage automation system documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and maintenance procedures.Implement control systems (PLC, SCADA, HMI) to enhance the production processes and reduce manual intervention.

System Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Perform regular maintenance on automation systems to ensure they operate at peak efficiency and reliability.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation equipment and systems, minimizing downtime and disruptions to production.Collaborate with maintenance teams to provide technical support and expertise on automated systems.

Process Optimization:

Analyze existing manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.Work with production and engineering teams to implement process improvements that increase productivity, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.Monitor and evaluate the performance of automation systems, making adjustments as necessary to optimize output.

Compliance & Safety:

Ensure that all automation systems comply with relevant safety standards and regulations.Develop and implement safety protocols related to automated machinery and processes, training staff on best practices.Conduct risk assessments for new and existing automation projects to identify and mitigate potential hazards.

Project Management:

Lead and manage automation projects from concept through to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and IT, to ensure successful project execution.Report on project progress, challenges, and outcomes to senior management.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated on the latest advancements in automation technology and industry trends, applying new knowledge to improve company operations.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, providing insights and recommendations based on automation expertise.

What we’d love for you to have:Bachelor’s degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in automation engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the building materials or similar industry.Experience in executing Electrical and automation of SIEMENS DCS, PLC S7, TIA, Wincc, Wincc flexible, ResMa or Similar digitalization System, Procon Win 3 or 5 or similar SCADA systems.Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and maintaining automated systems.Proven track record in leveraging domain knowledge & technical expertise in design and commissioning of Electrical & automation system and Maintenance.Proven experience in preparing engineering documents and drawings, including FDS, system architecture, and wiring diagrams.Skills:Strong technical knowledge of automation systems and control technologies.Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, OMRON, MITSUBISHI, Schneider) and SCADA systems.Root cause analysis skills, Ishikawa fish bone, five whys, and excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Continuous improvement DEMIAC and PDSA problem solving.Proficient in selecting and calibrating field instruments.Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in cross-functional teams.Key Competencies:Analytical thinking and attention to detail.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Strong commitment to safety and quality standards.Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on operational excellence.Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving.We’ll provide:Salary + BonusCar AllowanceMobile Phone + Business LineMedical + Life InsuranceWhat happens next?We appreciate that your time is precious and applying for a new job can be a lengthy process - so we have committed to replying to your application within three working days.
