The Senior Talent Programs Manager will be responsible for building and implementing talent management strategies to support organizational goals, including playing a pivotal role in performance management, development plans, succession planning, and creating Altium’s new competency framework model. Reporting to the Director of HR Programs, this role will be essential in creating an engaging, personalized, and impactful talent management strategy that our HR leadership will leverage to execute on various strategic initiatives. The Senior Talent Programs Manager will partner closely with our HR Business Partners, People Analytics and the Learning & Development team to ensure seamless implementation across the organization to maximize human capital potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Designs and develops talent management solutions to enable effective succession planning, performance evaluation and management, career progression, and employee development opportunities.
Creates timelines and communication plans while effectively managing change, to ensure a seamless implementation and adoption across the organization.
Fosters a culture of talent development and serves as an expert in translating business objectives to talent priorities that align with our employee value proposition.
Develops performance metrics and reports data and scorecard analytics to identify trends and drive data-driven decision making for talent management initiatives.
Defines and designs new competency framework allowing for a more streamlined approach to employee development, training, recruitment, and engagement.
Provides tools and resources to assist HR Business Partners in assessing individual managers’ and leaders’ competencies, to identify gaps in skills and knowledge, and creates learning experiences to strengthen capabilities.
Supports HR Partners in leveraging talent management platform, resources, and tools, for execution of various talent initiatives.
Participates in talent planning sessions to support HR Partners by providing insight around trends and help ensure consistency of framework application.
Designs learning plans and templates to support employee reviews and ongoing talent management.
Manages project coordination, including ongoing vendor communication, and proactively anticipates challenges that could impact timeliness, to ensure goals are still met.
Provides technical guidance and supports the design and delivery of training to equip leaders and HR Partners with meeting organizational goals.
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to manage numerous tasks simultaneously and prioritize work requests.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
Organized, self-motivated, and delivers on commitments.
Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
Ability to engage and collaborate with a wide variety of different leadership styles.
Strong business acumen with talent/people lens and understanding of the employee lifecycle.
Ability to interpret and translate high-level strategic direction.
Experience leading succession planning and performance management.
Required Education and Experience:
BA/BS degree in related discipline or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in Talent Management, Talent Development, or Organizational Development.
Willing and able to travel approximately 10%.
Expertise in several talent management software systems.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Education and Experience:
Workday Experience – not required.
SHRM-SCP, PHR, or other relevant HR certifications preferred but not required.
Experience working in the manufacturing sector.
