You’ll help our clients by providing a robust, data-informed strategy across the donor journey.Position Summary
The firm seeks a detail-oriented Data Analyst to collect and statistically analyze a wide range of data on donor analytics, nonprofit financial performance, and comparative benchmarks. This is a full time, hybrid position in our Chicago office (3 days a week on site).
The Data Analyst will join our analytics team who conducts specialized quantitative analyses as part of our broader consulting engagements that aim to identify pathways for our nonprofit clients to grow. In each client engagement, the Data Analyst will partner with an Analytics Consultant to assess prospect, administrative, financial, growth, and survey data. Using Tableau, R, and Excel, the Data Analyst will identify trends, outliers, and key performance indicators for the broader project team to explore through qualitative approaches. The Data Analyst will be responsible for engaging third-party data vendors, clients, and internal project teams to identify the most important data to collect and the specialized analyses needed to provide insights.
The Data Analyst will work across all philanthropic sectors within Global Philanthropy partnering with multiple teams on annual analytical projects and custom projects.Qualifications
Location and In-Office Requirement: This role is based at Huron's headquarters, located at 550 W Van Buren St, Chicago, Illinois. It requires the employee to work in the office three days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday).Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree required in a quantitative field, social science research, public policy, or related fieldMinimum 2 years’ work experience with at least 1-year direct experience analyzing quantitative dataWorking knowledge of MS Excel (formulas, v-lookups, pivot table, charts etc.) requiredExperience with Tableau (visualizations, crosstabs, tables, dashboards etc.) or similar visualization software preferredExperience with R or similar statistical software preferredExperience and demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office SuiteDesirable attributes: Diligent, meticulous, detail-oriented, curious, ability to switch priorities, collaborative and nimbleAbility to work in the Chicago office (3 days a week)Key Responsibilities

Extract appropriate internal and external data from client databases and other sourcesDevelop reports and presentations using Tableau, R, Excel, and PowerPointOptimize existing Tableau templates and workbooks to transform, analyze, and report the data through relevant tables and chartsConduct custom analyses in collaboration with consultants and project teamsTranslate data analysis and visualizations into client-ready reports and presentationsProvide meticulous ongoing quality assurance of data, analysis, reports, presentations, and other deliverables to ensure correct, complete, and relevant resultsShare knowledge in technical skill areas with work colleagues, making a positive change and measurable difference to Huron| GG+A and client projectsProject Management
Manage time efficiently to ensure timely completion of projects and throughput of workflowEngage with clients, colleagues, and vendors to ensure accurate and timely analysesLimited out-of-town travel may be required, though the staff member will work primarily from Huron | GG+A’s headquarters at 550 W Van BurenCommunication And Relationship Skills

The range represents a good faith estimate of the range that Huron reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to specific skills or certifications, years of experience, market changes, and required travel. This job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects Huron’s pay for performance philosophy. Inclusive of annual incentive compensation opportunity, the total estimated compensation range for this job is $70,200 - $95,200. The job is also eligible to participate in Huron’s benefit plans which include medical, dental and vision coverage and other wellness programs. The salary range information provided is in accordance with applicable state and local laws regarding salary transparency that are currently in effect and may be implemented in the future.Posting Category
