The assistant director of marketing and communications plays a critical role in supporting strategic marketing and recruitment initiatives for the UNLV William F. Harrah College of Hospitality. The assistant director produces and disseminates day-to-day communications for both internal and external audiences, manages promotional materials, interfaces with the media, and oversees digital media platforms on behalf of the college (and under the supervision of the senior director of communication). The role’s heavy focus on social media requires a high level of interaction with students, faculty, and the community, which requires participation in events outside of regular business hours. The assistant director must be highly-motivated with a strong background in creative development and current communications technologies to elevate brand awareness, engage target audiences, and enhance the overall public image of the college.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university as recognized by the United States Department of Education and/or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and 1-3 years of experience in a communications-related role. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
