What You’ll DoEssential Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee and enforce the contracts covering the work of directors and their teams on non-dramatic programming (including variety, reality, quiz, and game, talk, daytime dramatic as well as news and sports).Work with non-dramatic department staff in Los Angeles and New York.Coordinate with staff in other departments supporting non-dramatic contract enforcement and organizing objectives, particularly for reality organizing.Play key role in national non-dramatic and news/sports collective bargaining process.Lead negotiations for broadcast agreements including Fox Sports, NFL Network and KCET.Serve as Staff liaison for Western AD/SM/PA Council, as well as its subcommittees.Be responsible for various membership committees as assigned.QualificationsWhat You’ll NeedProficiency in the analysis and enforcement of contracts, preferably collective bargaining agreements.Excellent interpersonal communication, interpersonal relations, and analytical skills.Ability to collaborate closely with a team and assimilate input from multiple sources.Well-organized and self-motivated.Previous experience in union representation.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Night and weekend work along with some travel.Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite.Skilled in contract administration (i.e. draft side letters, etc.)Proficient in negotiation and enforcement of contracts.Regularly communicate with members and engage in internal organizing.Experience interacting with counsel and program executives is an added value.Television industry experience, entertainment industry experience or labor law experience are a plus.Advanced degree preferred but not required.What You’ll GetThe salary range for this position is $150,000 – $180,000 annually along with excellent employee health and retirement benefits.Affordable and comprehensive medical and dental plans.Generous pension plan.401(k) plan.Designated parking space.The DGA is an equal opportunity employer.
