PURPOSE OF POSITION:

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The full-time Property Director is responsible for maintenance of the YMCA facilities in the District assigned. This position reports to the District VP, Operations with a dotted line to the Senior Property Director.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Provides overall coordination of Center maintenance, including planning and overseeing preventative maintenance.

Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs.

Ensure the proper operation of all mechanical systems at Centers.

Complete repair work and projects in a timely manner. Oversee all contractors that work in the facility and grounds. May request and review bids, and recommend selection of contractors.

Work with outside agencies such as fire, health, building departments to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to facilities and grounds.

Support the preventative and annual maintenance plans and monitor expenditures against the budget.

Work closely with Center Directors at select centers.

Advise management on maintenance issues and projects as requested.

Update facility plans periodically. Assist with developing an annual plan of capital projects, consistent with the YMCA’s strategic plan and community needs.

Work at multiple Centers in the Association.

Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Preferred High school diploma or GED.

Three or more years experience in facility maintenance.

Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, carpentry, and other maintenance-related areas.

Skills in project management.

CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required within 30 days of employment.

CPO or equivalent certification required within 120 days of employment.

Ability and current license to drive that meets YMCA standards.

Ability to track projects and progress using specific facility software.

Ability to respond to safety and emergency situations.

WORK SCHEDULE:

The schedule for this full-time position is generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm, though overtime, evenings, and weekend work will be required depending on the business need.

The work is performed both indoors and out, and may require travel to various locations.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time.

$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
