Anaheim, CA and surrounding Orange, LA, San Diego Counties - USAApplication Procedure:Please e-mail resume and cover letter to info@etac-online.com.Job Description:The EHS Specialist Consultant/Trainer performs inspections/audits as well as develops, implements, and evaluates environmental safety policies and procedures ensuring compliance for our clients. They provide leadership and technical expertise in the development of strategies, programs, and training to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, improve safety and reduce/eliminate EHS related business risks for our clients. This person may interface with external EHS agencies and partner with clients on the development and implementation of action plans that drive closure of open issues and result in improved safety performance and environmental controls. Perform various training (HAZWOPER, DOT/RCRA, Confined Space, etc.) at our Anaheim training facility or off-site at a client.Qualifications:Experience with Federal Environmental Regulations and Departments (EPA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and California Environmental Regulations and Departments (CUPA, DTSC, RWQCB, etc.).Understand and demonstrate compliance with all environmental permits and California environmental regulations, including California Hazardous and Universal Waste Management, South Coast Air Quality permits, and Storm Water regulations.Familiar with California CERS, SMARTS, and other EHS regulatory electronic reporting systems.Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field OR 3+ years in an EHS Governmental Regulatory Agency OR 5+ years of progressive EHS experience in lieu of education within a manufacturing/industrial environment.3+ years of experience leading Environmental, Health & Safety with emphasis in documentation and compliance, specifically related to ISO 14001, ISO 45001, Federal/Cal OSHA, Federal EPA/DTSC, and Local Safety regulations a plus.Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or related Professional EHS Certification is preferred.Qualified Storm Water Practitioner (QISP) Certification a plus.Demonstrated knowledge in development of Job Safety and Job Hazard analysis (JHA and JSA).Project management and training background.Proficiency in conducting safety/environmental investigations and writing EHS policies.Demonstrated ability to audit facilities as well as assist effectively and thoroughly in addressing audit findings.Class C driver’s license with excellent driving record, personal car insurance, and ability to use your own vehicle to travel to clients throughout California.Good working knowledge of all MS Office applications and internet applications.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written formats as well as good written, oral, and presentation skills.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.Excellent communication skills and ability to teach/lecture/present information in front of groups and peers.High level of self-motivation to perform and succeed.Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work effectively.Bilingual (English and Spanish) a plus.Responsibilities:Provide training (i.e: HAZWOPER, DOT/RCRA, HAZCOM, LOTO, Machine Guarding, Fall Protection, Confined Space, Powered Industrial Vehicles, etc.) at our Anaheim training facility or off-site at a client.Provide expertise, coaching, consultation, and hands-on EHS support to our clients.Perform inspections/audits and investigations related to the enforcement of environmental health and safety laws and regulations.Gather and analyze data and facts relevant to environmental health and safety inspections/audits and report data consistently from audits/inspections and writing reports for clients.Prepare and maintain agency documents such as air or water permits and emission reports for clients.Provide verbal and/or written feedback and clearly articulate environmental health and safety issues to clients.Ability to effectively respond to questions from groups, clients, and the public.Explore new opportunities, and implement new techniques and approaches pertinent to environmental health and safety, such as active learning and listening, using education to modify behaviors, and improve overall compliance for clients.Manage numerous projects simultaneously and work independently or collaboratively with a team.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization may exist.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions.Ability to independently solve problems.Ability to work under moderate supervision and have the initiative to seek new clients.Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and deal with unexpected challenges in a professional and calm manner.Working hours will vary and are dependent upon business needs.Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, and sit for long periods of time as required by work schedule.Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.As needed, travel and/or overtime will be required which includes peak operations and projects.Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside of the office setting with exposure to climate changes, uneven surfaces, heights, noise, and other manufacturing or
