DIRECTOR OF CASINO OPERATIONS

The Director of Casino Operations oversees the direct supervision of all Managers and Supervisors in the Gaming Department. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of Gaming Department and its employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, and addressing complaints and resolving problems. In addition to providing outstanding guest service to internal and external guests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Build guest and team member positive relations.

Participates and conducts departmental meetings.

Ensure consistent high-quality service to all our team members and guests.

Set and maintain guest service standards and ensure team members perform those standards to achieve a favorable gaming experience for guests.

Participates in formulating and administering Gaming Department policies and developing long-range goals and objectives.

Maintains the slot file and ensures all data is up-to-date and accurate.

Oversee analysis of Slot Performance according to; location, cabinet style and theme.

Meets with slot machine vendors, and through analysis and experience, orders new slot machines and slot conversions.

Develops and reviews analysis of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine department progress towards stated goals and objectives.

Analyzes departments financial reports and makes adjustment to implement efficiencies.

Administers department according to the company's strategic business plan.

Oversee Slot and Table Games Contracts; monitor, review and submission for execution.

Responsible for overseeing the departments budgets.

Hours are determined by 24-hour schedule and subject to change.

Knowledge of a 24-hour, 7-day a week operation.

Skill in developing, implementing, coordinating and monitoring functions related to a gaming operation.

Skills in effectively communicating, verbal and written information to employees, managers, clients, customers and the general public, including writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

Knowledge of principles and practices of general business administration, including personnel practices and employment law, budgeting, general accounting and fiscal management practices.

Skills in assessing operation; staffing and fiscal needs.

Skill in identifying and resolving administrative and employee problems under stressful situations.

Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelors degree (B.A.) from a four year college or university.

Eight to ten years of direct gaming experience or a combination of education, skills and experience.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a state Gaming License.
