Position SummaryDo you love discussing goals and possibilities with students? Do you enjoy problem solving and working in a collaborative team setting? If so, Roosevelt University, located in the heart of downtown Chicago, is seeking an Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions who will support and lead graduate enrollment initiatives and help take our team to the next level. The ideal candidate will have experience recruiting graduate students, writing communications to students and faculty, building partnerships with external constituents, and representing a College or University at public events.

A note about modality:

Hybrid – 2 days expected on campus; 1 day mandatory (usually Tuesday) for all team members to be on campus.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities RequiredA bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant field.3-5 years’ experience working in admissions/enrollment.Ability to manage relationships both externally and within Roosevelt University.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations in a multicultural environment.Ability to navigate sensitive conversations with care and tact.Self-starter and ability to prioritize independently.Ability to motivate, engage and challenge others.Comfortability with monitoring and comprehending data.Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion when working with admission counselors, prospective students and external partners.Ability to demonstrate a commitment to service excellence by embodying Roosevelt’s core values, mission, and vision in every aspect of the role working with students, faculty, staff, and visitors.A positive and professional demeanor.Experience managing staff and projects in some capacity. Experience with database systems (CRM and/or SIS) to input and access individualized and general information related to recruitment and enrollment.Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Valid driver’s license and/or means to travel for recruitment.

Working ConditionsStandard climate and noise controlled environment. Role is mostly sedentary and requires frequent use of wrists for typing, extended periods of computer usage. Extended hours may be required during periods of high volume. Regional travel to and from admissions events may occasionally be required.
