Job Description

The Vice President of Human Resources will be responsible for supporting our growing company through dynamic leadership, knowledge, and expertise. This will be accomplished by developing the HR team, collaborating with company key stakeholders to support our purpose, mission, and plan, developing/maintaining systems that promote compliance, strategic vision and execution, while most importantly, serving as a cultural ambassador.

Essential Functions

Serves as a cultural ambassador and a key contributor as a member of our leadership team.

Understands that the communities of The Springs Living are our customer and dynamically leads a support model within the HR team that provides high quality service outcomes.

Continuously seeks opportunities to evolve the way we support our valued team members, serving as a champion of our quest to be the employer of choice in each market where we serve residents.

Develops and implements HR strategies and initiatives that align with the organization’s business objectives. This includes, but is not limited to; programs, procedures, training, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the company.

Serve as a strategic partner by working closely with key stakeholders to attract, develop, and retain top talent.

Analyze HR operations through the use of metrics and analytics, proactively leveraging information to address any trends and improve future performance.

Oversees and supports the optimized utilization of our company HRIS system, ensuring a successful and robust company technical platform is in place, in support of our employees.

Selects, supervises, and collaborates with legal and human resource consultants, and coordinates company use of insurance brokers, insurance carriers, benefit administrators, and other outside sources.

Conducts a continuing study of all human resources policies, programs, and practices to keep the leadership team informed of new developments while also remaining compliant with standards and regulations in each state where we operate.

Development and support of a genuine employee-oriented, company culture, that emphasizes One Thing (empowerment), quality, team-based outcomes and high performance.

Development and execution of company systems for all HR matters such as recruitment, performance management, payroll, compensation, employee training, wellness and safety.

Highly responsive and accountable in managing employee relations, as well as any legal requirements.

Strong knowledge of executing a change management system and communication strategies.

Leads the ongoing development of the human resources team and community leaders.

Engaging presenter of information and excellent communicator.

Qualifications

Shared values as well as strong alignment with the organization’s mission, purpose, and plan.

Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, Organization Development.

Master's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources preferred.

Minimum 10 plus years of progressive leadership experience in Human Resources.

5-plus years of managing a professional HR team.

Preference given to previous experience working in 2,000+ size organization.

Proven experience with HRIS systems, maximizing efficiencies through technology and implementing new systems.

PHR/SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification.
