General Purpose and Scope of the Position:Provide leadership and direction to multiple and diverse functional areas of the Kokomo service area. This position provides administrative oversight to the finance department and budget management for the campus service areas, as well as the integrity of all financial records and fiscal compliance relevant to college policies and procedures.Major Responsibilities:

Provides supervision and leadership to the Business Office for Kokomo Service Area.Directs all financial and accounting activities of the campus in accordance with guidelines set forth by the Chief Financial Officer, Chancellor, and other regulatory agencies.Plans, prepares and administers annual operating, capital, utilities, and lease budgets.Directs the collection, safeguarding, accounting, and distribution of all funds.Develops and administers all campus service area policies to ensure compliance with college policies and practices.Provides, prepares, and/or supervises monthly and annual campus financial reports, analysis and interpretation.Prepares monthly financial reports for the Campus Board of Trustees and reports the status of finances and budgets to the Campus Board of Trustees upon request.Monitors departmental expenditures to ensure budgetary control.Employs, trains, evaluates, and facilitates corrective action, as required, of business office and facilities personnel.Responsible for accounts receivables and fixed asset management.Oversees procurement processes at the campus level in accordance with the College purchasing policy.Provides financial data to support applications for state and federal funds.Oversees third-party contracts/grants from governmental agencies in conjunction with System Office Sponsored Program Accounting Staff.Serves as liaison with bookstore manager on matters relating to the contractual provisions of bookstore services provided by the campus’ private bookstore manager.Plans and manages vending services.Serves on the Administrative Cabinet, Resource Allocation Committee, and other statewide and campus service areas committees as needed.Assures assessment of functional area needs, investigates and develops alternative strategies, establishes priorities and goals, recommends implementation activities, and evaluates progress.Determines staffing needs and assures training, development, and evaluation of administrative and support staff necessary for the efficient operation of each functional area.Assures compliance with college financial policies and procedures.Facilitates continuous improvement and effective change management.Manages and coordinates special projects as assigned by the Chancellor.Demonstrates strong customer service and/or student advocacy through a positive attitude of approachability, adaptability, strong problem-solving, and desire to identify and support student success.Promotes an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees in which every individual feels respected and valued.This is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field preferred. Five years of related experience. Three years of supervisory experience.Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree, CPA, CMA, or other related certifications.Additional Considerations:
