The Opportunity

The Director, Commercial Learning and Development, will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive Learning and Development programs that support our Commercial teams to successfully launch our 3 late-stage rare neuromuscular programs. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify training needs, develop educational content, and ensure that our sales and marketing teams are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in competitive markets.

What You Will Contribute

Build and establish world-class onboarding, new hire, and advanced training programs for cross-functional Commercial teams

Develop and manage the execution of core and role-specific training curriculums in close coordination with cross-functional and leadership stakeholders

Work with cross-functional stakeholders to include Learning & Development in Commercial meetings as warranted

Partner with commercial leadership to identify learning and development gaps and needs by team, and initiate learning programs accordingly

Ensure that ongoing training and development meets current team needs and is delivered effectively

Collaborate with IT to design and implement Learning Management System (LMS)

Implement mechanisms to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs; analyze feedback and performance metrics to continuously improve learning initiative

Develop and maintain a repository of training resources, best practices, and learning materials for easy access by the commercial teams

Select and manage vendors as appropriate to assist with program design, implementation, and maintenance

Design ongoing learning programs in support of team and POA meetings

Partner with external event management partner to design effective team meetings

Ensure that all training programs comply with industry regulations, company policies, and standards of practice

What We Seek

Bachelors’ degree

Minimum 10+ years experience, or equivalent

Minimum of 8 years of life sciences industry experience

6 years in a management or leadership role of people or function

Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and other relevant applications

Understanding of pharmaceutical sales and customer engagement models, especially in rare disease launches

Ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple projects to successful completion

Demonstrated ability to influence others and accomplish goals within a matrixed environment

Ability to travel as the position requires

What We will Provide to You:

The base salary range for this role is $214,000.00 - $236,500.00. The final compensation will be commensurate with such factors as relevant experience, skillset, internal equity and market factors.
