Job SummaryPartners with Senior Consultant to use and grow the specialized knowledge and skills obtained through experience, specialized training or certification to administer qualified and nonqualified retirement plans. This includes all aspects of plan design, compliance testing, day-to-day administration, and maintaining client relationships. Uses strong problem-solving skills to research and determine potential strategies to review with the Senior Consultant to solve client needs. Manages own personal and professional growth and expansion of consulting skills through ongoing education and experiences.A hybrid work environment.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPartner with Senior Consultant on tasks with the ultimate goal of assuming responsibility for a group of Defined Contribution Retirement Plans.Perform project tasks independently, and with oversight from a Senior Consultant for newly assigned tasks.Consult with clients regarding all aspects of plan design.Oversee day-to-day administration, annual compliance testing, Form 5500 preparation, trust accounting, participant notices, and plan documents.Maintain client relationships to ensure high-quality deliverables.Anticipate client needs and formulate solutions to client issues.Manage and mentor junior analysts.Prepare and review deliverables for accuracy and quality.Manage own personal and professional development; seek opportunities for professional growth and expansion of consulting skills and experiences.QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of:Able to perform compliance testing, discuss plan design, prepare annual reports, and complete DOL and IRS forms with support from Senior Consultant, as needed.Able to prioritize, work on multiple projects simultaneously, work independently, and drive tasks to completion with support from Senior Consultant, as needed.Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including Microsoft Office and established databases.Knowledge of the Relius recordkeeping system preferred.Skill in:Communicating effectively, both orally and in writing.Strong Excel skills.Ability to:Strong problem-solving skills, including an ability to research and determine potential strategies to review with Senior Consultant to solve client needs.Educational/Previous Experience RequirementsBachelor’s degree (B.A.) in a related field.3 - 4 years of experience in the retirement field, client-facing experience preferred.Licenses/CertificationsQKA or QPA designation preferred.CompensationFor more information about Raymond James & Associates (RJA) and Northwest Plan Services (NWPS), please visit:
