Job Overview:

A law firm in Miami, FL, seeks an experienced Healthcare Partner to lead its healthcare practice. The ideal candidate will have substantial expertise in healthcare and life sciences issues, with a solid regulatory and transactional background. They will advise clients on a wide range of healthcare matters, ensure compliance with state and federal laws, and navigate complex healthcare transactions.Duties:Provide strategic legal advice and guidance on healthcare regulatory compliance issues.Lead negotiations and transactions involving healthcare entities, including mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures.Represent clients in healthcare-related litigation and administrative proceedings.Develop and implement compliance programs for healthcare providers.Advise on Medicare, CMS, and other government regulatory matters affecting healthcare clients.Draft and negotiate contracts related to healthcare services and transactions.Stay abreast of healthcare law and policy developments to provide proactive legal counsel.Requirements:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Active membership in good standing with the Florida State Bar (or ability to become licensed in Florida).Experience practicing law with a focus on healthcare law.Proven track record in handling healthcare transactions and regulatory compliance matters.Experience advising various healthcare entities, including hospitals, physician groups, and healthcare systems.Strong understanding of health-related state and federal laws and regulations.Excellent negotiation, communication, and client management skills.Ability to work independently and lead a team of associates and paralegals.Preferred Skills:Certification in Health Law (e.g., through the American Health Lawyers Association).Familiarity with private and public third-party reimbursement systems.Knowledge of corporate practice of medicine and healthcare operational issues.Experience with integrated delivery systems and managed care arrangements.
