The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of federal and state healthcare laws and a commitment to client service.Duties:Advise healthcare entities on federal and state regulatory issues.Guide Medicare, Medicaid, and other government health programs.Counsel clients on healthcare operations, including licensing and medical staff issues.Offer legal support to hospitals, health systems, physicians, behavioral health providers, pharmacies, managed care companies, federally qualified health centers, and medical device manufacturers.Handle matters related to HIPAA, including business associate agreements, data use agreements, risk assessments, and breach notifications.Navigate federal antikickback and Stark regulations.Requirements:Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare law.Proven experience with HIPAA compliance and health information privacy.Expertise in advising on healthcare operations and regulatory issues.Education:JD from an accredited university.Certifications:Membership in the Oregon State Bar or eligibility to become barred in Oregon.Skills:Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory frameworks.Proficient in HIPAA, data privacy, and security regulations.Excellent client service and teamwork abilities.Effective communication and negotiation skills.
