Job Overview:

A law firm is seeking a Healthcare Regulatory Attorney with 5-6 years of experience working with healthcare clients on regulatory and licensing issues. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare regulations, especially in Oregon or Washington State, and experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and other government health programs.Duties:Advise clients on healthcare regulatory and licensing issues.Handle enforcement matters related to Medicare, Medicaid, and other government health programs.Negotiate and draft business associate agreements, data use agreements and data transfer agreements.Conduct HIPAA risk analysis, data incident response, and breach notifications.Manage licensing of electronic health records.Address issues related to Medicare or Medicaid reimbursement, healthcare operations, and medical staff.Stay informed on federal and state security requirements, including 42 CFR Part 2.Requirements:5-6 years of experience with healthcare regulatory matters.Experience with Oregon or Washington State healthcare regulations, state healthcare authority, or insurance department.Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, and government health program regulations.Experience with data agreements, HIPAA compliance, and health record licensing.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited university.Certifications:Privacy or information security certification preferred (e.g., CIPP/US, CISSP, CHISSP).Skills:Strong commitment to client service and team success.Expertise in healthcare regulatory and licensing issues.Ability to navigate complex legal and regulatory environments.Effective negotiation and drafting skills for data and business agreements.Job Location:
