Senior Network Engineer/VOIP Engineer

Role: Senior Network Engineer/VOIP Engineer
Location: San Jose, CA (5 days onsite with flexible hours)
Duration: 6 to 9 months
Objective:Resources require experience in design, implementation, configuration, deployment, troubleshooting, and testing of Cisco routers and switches, firewalls (PAN and Cisco), Aruba and Cisco Wireless Access Points (WAPs), and controllers. Additional network technical skills are a plus.
Minimum Qualifications:B.Sc. in Computer Science and Engineering to provide a solid foundation in Hardware/Software stack, data structures, and algorithms.3+ years of experience in Networking with a strong understanding of the TCP/IP stack, from L2 (Ethernet) through L7 (application).Ability to demonstrate in-depth understanding of routing/switching or stateful transit devices (LB/firewall).Decent knowledge of SDN and cryptology/security.
Required Skills & Abilities:At least 5 years of hands-on experience in preparing, configuring, deploying, and testing various network devices and services such as routers, switches, load balancers, and firewalls.Knowledge and experience in using Infoblox, Solarwinds, StruxureWare, and Firepower management console.Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve urgent networking issues.Flexibility to work outside of business hours, as network equipment must be deployed and brought online during off hours, including weekends, under strict timelines.Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
Desired Qualifications:Cisco Certified Network Professional certification is desirable but not required.
