Sweetgreen is looking for an experienced Assistant Facilities Manager to oversee the Facilities support function and our Infinite Kitchen (IK) program. This individual will help develop the IK maintenance program and oversee facilities for our West Coast restaurant portfolio. This will include ensuring our restaurants are receiving preventative maintenance, repair services, and remodeling assistance in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner. Forecasts and manages Facilities maintenance budgets and oversees quality control within the region. Works closely with Operations Leadership to communicate and enhance the support provided by the Facilities maintenance function. This position is based in the LA / Orange County area and reports to the Sr Facilities Manager, West Coast.We are looking for a team player that understands how to work closely with Restaurant Operations Leadership to communicate and enhance the support provided by the facilities maintenance function.Regional Management:

Execute capital re-investment projects from implementation through completion.Develop and manage Facilities budgets utilizing site surveys, Service Channel data, and Operations feedback.Provide guidance and direct support to the Sweetgreen Automation team on Infinite Kitchen (IK) systems.Develop national PM, service protocols, and service technician training specifically for the IK systems.Provide project status updates weekly to keep current projects on track.Contracts and manages all regional vendors for PM + Service.Support New Restaurant Openings by leading turnover & 10 month warranty walks.Conduct annual location audits with Ops leadership in the market to ensure condition of all building systems and assets and gather information that will support the recommendations for capital improvements.Train operation teams on programs and repair & maintenance work performed in our restaurants (both IK and traditional) to help quality control work and cost.Desired Traits:

Education/Training:

3+ years of experience in Facilities maintenance, equipment service technician field, or a related field.A certification in facilities management through International Facilities Management Association or other organization preferred.Knowledge/Skills:

The maturity to embrace ambiguity and ability to adapt according to the market and the continuing innovation at sweetgreen.Ability to travel for up to 75% of work schedule.Working knowledge of and the ability to use a PC as well as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and Smartsheets.Working knowledge of and the ability to use Service Channel or similar facilities CMMS management software platforms preferred.Strong working knowledge of equipment/mechanical repair and diagnostics.Working knowledge of service and maintenance costs.Knowledge of rules and regulations governing facilities safety requirements.What you'll get:
