Mount Carmel Behavioral Health is an 80-bed behavioral health treatment center located in Columbus, Ohio. The facility is located on Hilton Corporate Drive in southwestern Columbus. Just a short drive from John Glenn Columbus International Airport. Mount Carmel provides acute inpatient care for adult men and women who have been experiencing a wide range of mental or behavioral health challenges.Responsibilities

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

The Successful Chief Executive Officer Candidate Will

Be instrumental in developing a culture that emphasizes high quality care and patient safety.Manage day-to-day operations and staff so that the facility achieves its objectives in key performance areas:effective patient care outcomesappropriate fiscal managementmaintenance of licensure, accreditation and other regulatory criteriaimplementation of focused business development processesmedical staff compliance with regulatory and accreditation guidelinesOrganize the day-to-day management and operation of the Facility through departmentalization, delegation and alignment of responsibilities to meet the facility’s patient care and business objectives.Create and maintain a network of local constituency groups to include government agencies, local businesses, affiliate health providers, and the surrounding community.Appraise leadership team performance, assesses competencies, and provides coaching/corrective action as appropriate.Ensure participation of staff in facility/program-wide in-service and continuing education programs.Recruit allied health professionals and psychiatrists to increase the scope of service offerings at the facility.Effectively work with corporate contracting team to manage contract negotiations and compliance with the commercial payer community.Lead development of continuum of care to include comprehensive outpatient services and community-based programs.Serve as the final authority for resolution of staff performance concerns.Attend and chair periodic meetings with the governing body, medical staff, executive management team, and other departments of the facility.Abide by all company policies and procedures and operate with the highest personal integrity and professionalism.Remain current in all national healthcare-based initiatives.Ensure an effective survey readiness plan is always active.Ensure adherence to the Corporate Compliance program.Confirm and lead accurate Governing Board reporting and quarterly calls.Guarantee prompt, thorough follow-up of any patient safety issues.Ensure appropriate support for QAPI activities.Consistently demonstrate a high level of leadership skills resulting in efficient planning and implementation.Identify critical issues and maintain a deep understanding of the marketplace.Manage the performance of the organization to the budget and financial goals.Support the executive team to achieve goals and objectives that fulfill the mission and vision of the organization.Key Responsibilities

Enhance the reputation of the organization within the community regarding mental health, addiction, treatment and recovery.Earn the trust and establish credibility among the organization and facility leadership.Ensure the facility is financially sound and has a positive operating margin.Increase both the occupancy and payor mix as well as customer satisfaction.Shift the culture toward innovation and revenue diversification.Promote a culture of diversity, equity, inclusiveness, transparency, and collaboration.Continue to build a culture focused on performance improvement, quality, and service excellence.Further develop and refine a clear strategy for the organization.Education/Certification

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Marketing, Clinical Discipline, or related discipline is required. A Master's degree is preferred.Knowledge And Work Experience

Minimum of three to five years of experience in senior leadership or CEO role in a behavioral health, acute care, and/or managed care environment.Demonstrates thorough knowledge of facility administration and clinical operations.Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.Initiative-taking and self-directed with effective communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to work professionally with sensitive data while maintaining confidentiality.Excellent people skills including the ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels.Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Knowledge of state and federal laws governing mental health and addiction treatment.A transformational leader with Hospital Administrator experience or in a similarly visible leadership position.Strong financial acumen and business orientation.History of developing high-performing teams.Experience working with HR to develop robust succession plans.English sufficient to provide and receive instructions.Personal Characteristics
