Position Summary:The CEO exemplifies passion for Cardinal Point’s mission, goals and objectives, and guiding principles. This role balances being the public face of the agency with connecting individuals to Cardinal Point by elevating trust and support within Canadian County, the State of Oklahoma, and the Family Justice Center Alliance.The CEO leads Cardinal Point’s collective impact mission designed to provide comprehensive and coordinated services to survivors of domestic violence and their children, as well as to survivors of sexual assault, stalking, child abuse and other forms of abuse and family violence.The CEO collaborates with the Board of Trustees (BOT) and Board of Directors (BOD) to set goals and strategic vision to ensure Cardinal Point’s sustainability. The CEO is responsible for the management of Cardinal Point’s annual budget, assets, and the administration of services offered by Cardinal Point employees and volunteers. The CEO will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Cardinal Point, as well as the duties and responsibilities outlined herein. The CEO works alongside employees and volunteers to ensure the operations, fundraising, marketing, human resources, facility, and services are meaningfully implemented.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:BOARD OF TRUSTEES/BOARD OF DIRECTORS

STRATEGY:

Partners with the BOT and BOD to set strategic goals, establish policy, and manage financial resources to assure continued growth and success of the organization. Maintains accountability to the BOT and BOD for the effective, efficient, ethical operation of Cardinal Point.PARTNERSHIP:

Collaborates with the BOT and BOD to develop skilled, committed leadership, as well as strong, effective governance in key areas such as planning, oversight, and resource development. Communicates pertinent, timely, and succinct information to assist the BOT and BOD in making informed governing decisions. Provides or delegates staff support as needed.

OPERATIONS AND MANAGEMENT

FINANCIAL:

Oversees all aspects of financial management for Cardinal Point, including but not limited to: preparation of annual budgets for Board approval; contract negotiation and compliance; timely, accurate financial reports; strong financial controls; growth and protection of assets and compliance with generally accepted accounting standards, government accounting standards, contractual agreements, and applicable laws and regulations. Oversees all revenue generation for Cardinal Point, working with Board and staff to develop a stable, diversified funding base consisting of personal and corporate donations, government grants, and other sources of revenue that provide sufficient operating funds for current and future needs.PLANNING:

Leads planning initiatives related to services, facilities, administration, capacity building, marketing, and revenue generation. Ensures staff implementation of any Board approved strategic plans and initiatives.TALENT:

Sets high standards, motivates, and empowers staff to fulfill the vision and mission of Cardinal Point. Directly oversees and holds the staff accountable for established goals and responsibilities.CULTURE:

Fosters a workplace culture of well-being that values the staff and partners, retains top talent, and provides training and development in support of professional growth.RISK MANAGEMENT:

Oversees development and implementation of policies and strategies that protect vital organization assets such as people, property, funds, information, and reputation against harm. Ensures compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory, contractual, and affiliation requirements. Stays informed about major trends and issues affecting crime victim services sector to plan and craft constructive responses to emerging threats and opportunities.SECURITY:

Oversees the use, management, safety, security, insurance, and upkeep of Cardinal Point facilities, equipment, furnishings, and assets.COMPLIANCE:

Ensures the system for safekeeping of agency records, personnel files, and fiscal documentation are established and maintained in accordance with agency, contractual and legal requirements.INFORMATION MANAGEMENT:

Oversees development of information technology and training that keeps information about key publics (donors, participants, volunteers), programs, and finances accurate, accessible, and secure.

PUBLIC AND COMMUNITY RELATIONS

Strengthens awareness, interest, understanding, and support of Cardinal Point through effective agency and community leadership, and relationships with donors and funders. Develops and nurtures constructive relationships with partners, businesses, faith leaders, elected officials, non-profit and community leaders, government agency leaders, and volunteers for the benefit of Cardinal Point and the people it serves.Oversees the planning, development, and implementation of Cardinal Point marketing, communications, and public relations strategies. At the discretion of the BOT and BOD, serves as a spokesperson and representative for Cardinal Point at public events, speaking engagements, and media interviews.Serves as Coordinator of the Canadian County Coordinated Community Response/Sexual Assault Response Team. Participates in monthly Family Justice Center Director meetings and required Alliance for Hope conferences.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or related field; Master’s Degree preferred and 5 years of experience in related work, including two years supervisory experience which includes managing various programs; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Possess experience in resource development and management, including, but not limited to, the administration of grants, agreements, and contracts; budget management; grant writing; and personnel management.Considerable knowledge of all areas of best practices relating to domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking including, but not limited to: identification, safety, implementation, confidentiality, development, and supervision.Possess skill in supervising staff, program development and oversight, problem solving and decision making, and conflict resolution.Display exceptional writing and oral presentation skills, as well as exceptional organizational skills.Must secure and maintain a favorable background investigation.May be required to work more than 40 hours during the work week, work some evenings or weekends as applicable, and be on call as requested by the BOT/BOD.
