The Bridge Community Project

Chief Executive OfficerPostcode: EH54 5FD

The Bridge Community Project story began in 2014 when a small group of people reflected on their own life struggles and decided to make a difference to the everyday wellbeing of people across West Lothian.

Overseen by a Board of Trustees, the foundations of the Charity are based on the aims of providing financial and emotional wellbeing to the local community. Our vision is to "improve the everyday wellbeing of the people of West Lothian" by "providing practical and relational support to families and individuals."

The Role:

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and visionary leader to drive our strategic vision and lead our Charity to new heights. The CEO will be responsible for the overall strategic direction and vision of the Charity, reporting to our Board of Trustees (BOT). This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our Charity and make a significant impact on the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership: Provide dynamic leadership to the Charity, ensuring the successful implementation of our vision and strategic goals.

Governance: Work closely with the BOT to ensure good governance and accountability and to support board development.

Strategy and Development: Oversee thematic groups linked to strategic workplans.

Financial Planning and Management: In conjunction with our Business Development Manager, ensure robust systems are in place for the financial management of the Charity.

Operational Management: Oversee the Charity’s day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

External Focus and Relationships: Enhance the Charity’s brand visibility and reputation through effective marketing strategies, including social media, public relations, and community outreach.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nonprofit management, strategic development, and financial oversight. Experience in community-focused initiatives is highly desirable. The candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills, the ability to inspire and lead a team, and a deep commitment to the values and mission of the Bridge Community Project. While previous experience as a CEO is advantageous, it is not essential.
