Project Consultant

Other WSP office locations or remote options may be considered for an exceptional candidate.The individual will support a client–facing team in the design, implementation, and management of sustainability and resilience programs for a variety of clients, including Global 100 corporations. The ideal candidate will have the flexibility and capacity to work on a wide variety of projects and the demonstrated ability to work well with cross-functional teams. Candidates should be passionate about sustainability and climate resilience, self-motivated and self-directed, collaborative, and able to produce high-quality work products.Please include a cover letter describing your interest in sustainability and WSP.Your ImpactDuties and ResponsibilitiesAs a project consultant, you will be expected to join and lead project teams, working under the guidance of experienced project leaders and subject matter experts to deliver sustainability solutions to our clients. Tasks will span a wide variety of disciplines and topics but are likely to include the following:Develop entity-wide sustainability data inventories and/or life cycle assessments for energy, GHG, water, waste, and other resourcesConduct verifications of entity-wide inventories for energy, GHG, water, waste, and other resourcesDevelop and maintain data management systems and business intelligence toolsDesign sustainability or climate risk management performance targets with accompanying strategies and achievement plansIdentify and evaluate tactics and measures for achieving energy, GHG, and other resource reductionsAnalyze energy efficiency measures and renewable energy procurement optionsConduct climate- and water-related risk and opportunity assessmentsResearch sustainability programs and initiativesProduce sustainability reports, disclosures, and other communicationsSupport business development activities with existing and prospective clientsWho You AreRequired Qualifications and SkillsMinimum of 5 years of professional experience focused on sustainability, energy, climate change, or related environmental issues as a consultant, from within a corporation, or in another relevant contextBachelor’s degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or environmental discipline requiredWell-developed interpersonal skills, maturity, credibility, confidence, and integrity: ready to learn and work on a team.Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas crisply and compellingly through Microsoft Word and PowerPointAbility to design, conduct and present quantitative analysis, using tools that may include Microsoft Excel, Access, and Power BIAbility to work independently, multitask, and manage time efficientlyAbility to collaborate remotely across geographies and platformsPreferred Qualifications And SkillsMaster’s degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or environmental disciplineDemonstrated familiarity with sustainability issues and frameworks such as supply chain management, circularity, LCA, CDP, GRI, TCFD, and/or the GHG ProtocolWSP Benefits:WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.Expected Salary (Colorado only): $62,800 - $101,200WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position within the state of Colorado, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
