How Will You Make an Impact?

The Product Manager for New MS Technologies/options has the responsibility of defining and launching innovative MS Technologies/options within a specific portfolio for the LSMS business. Their role involves leading the development of products based on existing ideas and generating new ideas/products through their industry knowledge, understanding of competition, and interactions with customers and prospects. They continuously act as the advocate for the Product offering, both internally and externally.

A Day in the Life:

Conducting market research through regular visits to both customers and non-customers.

Investigating, selecting, and assisting in defining new features/products for the LSMS business.

Formulating and writing a product proposal to support the investment needed for the development and marketing of new products.

Developing and writing a Products Requirements Document for the newly approved NPD.

Collaborating with product marketing to define the go-to-market strategy, product positioning, key benefits, and target customers and to support the commercial organization in selling the products.

Supervising key performance indicators for current products, including profitability, actual versus planned revenue, customer satisfaction, and market share.

Leading the entire product line life cycle, from planning to tactical activities, including pricing and delivery models.

Education:Required - PhD Degree in any of the extended fields of Analytical Chemistry or Biochemistry.

Experience:Required - 5+ years of hands-on experience operating and maintaining modern nano HPLC and LC/MS platforms.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Possess a unique blend of business and technical savvy; a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.

Expertise in modern (nano) chromatographic and mass spectrometry techniques in the field of proteomics, intact protein characterization and trace-level analysis including method development and data analysis.

Comfortable working within a cross-functional, distributed, international team.

Proven ability to work in a dynamic, flexible environment.

Capable of working independently with minimal guidance to generate innovative solutions.

Previous record of scientific publications.

Strong oral and written communication skills, along with excellent interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, with a customer-centric approach.

High level of comfort in engaging with customers to understand and discuss product usage.

Required - Ability to travel over 25% including internationally.
