Responsibilities:Oversees effective APQP during pre-selection and is responsible for obtaining business award, supplying kick-off packages when available, supplying awarded design costs, providing specifications with physical property data, physical samples, design reviews and evaluation forms as required.Support Global Teams (mainly, SVMX, SHU and Seiren Suzhou) for post-selection activities on a daily basis.Visit and communicate with customers (mainly engineering and purchasing personnel and design as needed) to find out customer needs for automotive interior fabrics and plastic materials, as well as to maintain and grow relationships with customers.Prepare documents for summary for internal meeting, support schedule updates and report issues or concerns.Pre-selection sales support for special projects which require a high level of global coordination and technical knowledge.Pre-selection and Post-selection responsibility for Materials Engineering, Costing, Sales Promotion, Schedule Management, Preliminary Product Specifications, and coordinating physical testing.Pre-selection support for design customer kick-off, concept creation, submits, presentations.Pre-selection marketing and benchmark research.Pre-selections support for account development plans, receipt of orders, and Seijun checklist.Works closely with designated Japanese advisors and dispatched personnel from parent company to understand company culture and management expectations.Support communication between the Sales and Marketing Coordinator, General Manager, global design and development teams of Seiren and customers.Travel within the US or overseas as needed to make presentations, participate in meetings and/or for training as needed.Any other duty or task as may be assigned by immediate supervisor.Minimum Requirements:Must have automotive account management experience.Must have ability to develop effective sales strategies.Must have proven negotiation capabilities.Must be able to work in San Jose California area.English language required. Preferrable to have Japanese or Chinese language skill.4-year college degree required.Must be computer literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must have excellent organizational and project management skills.Must have excellent customer service skills.Must have ability to work well without close supervision and be capable of making high level decisions.Job Type:
