This position is based in San DiegoCompensation:
$33-43/hr
Responsibilities:
Conduct, execute and troubleshoot in vitro drug screening assays including cell-based assays and biochemical experiments.
Perform routine cell cultures, including primary cells and immortal cell lines.
Collaborate on the development and implementation of new high-throughput technologies and methodologies to screen novel therapeutics.
Analyze, organize, and present data in project team meetings with clear and accurate electronic lab notebook and documentation.
Present data at scientific conferences and publish data in scientific journals aligned to company objectives.
Required Skills:
BS or MS in Biochemistry, Cell Biology or related field in Biomedical Sciences with 2-4 years of experience in the biotech/biopharmaceutical industry.
Experience in high-throughput screening of biologics or peptides.
Proficiency in fluorescence and luminescence-based assays, multicolor flow cytometry, MSD, qPCR, TR-FRET, ELISA, and Western blot.
Hands-on experience with primary neuron cell culture, rodent in vivo PK, tissue isolation, and liquid handling automation is highly desired.
Expertise in bioconjugation and labeling chemistries for protein-based biologic and/or peptide drug formats is highly desired.
Experience in HPLC methods for peptide or protein characterization is highly desired.
Experience working with external partners and/or CROs is highly desired.
Entrepreneurial spirit, self-starter with proper balance of scientific creativity and disciplined execution.
