At Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy (CHCA), we believe education should be dynamic and immersive. The Principal of the Upper School 7-12 is responsible for upholding the school's Christ-centered mission, ensuring academic excellence while overseeing all aspects of the school's culture and programming, including curriculum development, staff management, student discipline, and community relations.

Key Responsibilities

Articulate and promote the school's mission, vision, and core values.

Foster a positive, inclusive, and Christ-centered school culture.

Monitor and evaluate academic programs and student performance to drive continuous improvement.

Support and mentor teachers to enhance instructional quality.

Retain high-quality faculty and staff who align with the school's values.

Provide ongoing professional development opportunities and performance evaluations.

Promote a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Foster strong relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the community.

Address student behavioral and academic issues with a focus on Christian virtues and restorative practices.

Implement programs that support students' spiritual, emotional, and academic growth.

Be a visible and accessible presence throughout the school.

Inspire and facilitate effective and clear communication to build upon the collaborative and trusting climate among all constituents.

Engage fully with current and past parents, alumni, and the broader Cincinnati community.

Manage the Upper School's budget and financial resources effectively.

Represent the school in the local community and build strong partnerships with churches, organizations, and stakeholders.

Develop and oversee school events and activities that promote community involvement and support.

Lead efforts to evaluate and improve school programs and initiatives.

Collaborate with the Head of School to set long-term goals and assess progress.

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field is required. Advanced degree is preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in educational leadership or administration, preferably in a Christian or private school setting.

Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Proficiency in financial management and strategic planning.

Ability to foster a positive, Christ-centered educational environment.

A strong personal commitment to Christ and Christian formation.

Demonstrated ability to lead with integrity, empathy, and vision.

Passionate about education and student development.
