Human Resources Director

Full time, Salary- 50-70K DOE, Benefits, In Office-Mapleton, Utah

Help young men in a therapeutic setting as they progress on their healing journey.

Nestled next to the Uinta National Forest in the southern Wasatch Range, Discovery Ranch for Boys is a residential treatment center. We have over 25 years of experience using evidence-based practices to help families heal. At Discovery Ranch, we combine the power of traditional and experiential therapies in a relationship-based model to help our students and their families heal and move forward with their lives.

The essential functions of the HR Director include:

Director: Develop structure, procedure, and policies for success, compliance, and accountability in a new program while maintaining strong collaboration and cooperation with all members of the leadership team.

Manager: Lead meetings, assist in recruiting, be a part of program leadership team, supervise office workers.

Quality assurance: Ensure appropriate documentation and record keeping, maintain and update HRIS and ATS, conduct audits.

Compensation management: Enter payroll information, maintain documentation related to payroll.

Employee discipline: Counsel managers in appropriate execution of employee disciplinary action, ensure proper documentation of disciplinary action.

Administrator: Recruit, screen, and interview candidates, assist in scheduling, assist in managing KPIs, coordinate and facilitate organizational training, assist in licensing and accreditation maintenance.

Requirements

Able to pass criminal investigation background check.

Able to pass motor vehicle record check.

Current Utah driver's license (within 30 days of employment).

Required skills/abilities:

Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with employees at all levels.

Detail-oriented and highly organized.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Required Experience:

2+ years of experience in Human Resources, Recruiting and/or Compliance management.

2+ years of management experience.

Experience with some form of HRIS or HRM.

Experience with payroll and benefits administration.

Preferred education and experience:

A bachelor’s degree in human resource management or a related field, or equivalent experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience.

Experience in a helping profession or mental health facilities.

HRCI PHR and/or SHRM-CP certification.
