Job Overview

Serve as an expert to analyze and interpret complex data to help customers make decisions based on insights from data, often using machine learning techniques.

This position is contingent upon contract award.Work Model: Onsite/Office-Based

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Job Functions:

Data Validation: Apply logic, aggregation, and reconciliation techniques to create rich modeling-ready data framework.Statistics & Statistical modeling: Expertise using statistical inference and regression. Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms.Solid understanding of feature selection and extraction.Conducts end-to-end machine learning tasks from problem synthesis to model deployment.Analyzing and preparing data, developing models, and compiling results.Contribute to all phases of an analytics project, including formulation, research, development, implementation, testing, and maintenance.Develops and implements databases, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency, accuracy, and quality.Develops data quality measures, analyzes data quality results, and implements necessary changes to ensure data quality improvement.Gathers, cleans, processes, compiles, and queries raw data. Codes programs to automate data collection and processing and to use for statistical modeling and graphic analysis; builds data visualization tools, dashboards, and reports.Researches and applies knowledge of existing and emerging data science principles, theories, and techniques to inform business decisions; and researches analytics products to develop new or improved predictive modeling products.Identifies and adopts best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, design, analysis, validation, and documentation.Prepares concise, comprehensive technical reports to present and interpret data, identify alternatives, and make and justify recommendations on data revisions.Conducts in-depth investigations into business problems to identify trends and potential improvements.Administers project planning techniques to divide projects into tasks and ensure that deadlines are met.Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Mandatory:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, math, or related field and ten (10) years of professional experience within this industry, OrSubstitution of a bachelor’s degree in business or information technology or IT related field and six (6) years of additional relevant work experience.Substitution of an associate degree plus four (4) years of additional relevant working experience.Experience with software integration or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts.Experience with frequent scripting language use, such as Python and R and using packages commonly used in data science applications or advanced analytics.Experience with data science, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms to support analytics objectives.Experience applying Structured Query Language (SQL), Non-Structured Query Language (NoSQL), Application Program Interface (API) Building, Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) pipelines, Web Application Servers or Search Index.Experience using programming languages and products such as Python, Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, Numpy, Requests or Antigravity.Experience applying complex mathematical and statistical concepts.Experience applying statistical and operations research methods and tools.Relevant industry certification such as CompTIA Cloud Essentials/Microsoft Technical Associate, Certified Data Scientist (CCDH), Certified Apache Hadoop Developer (HCAHD), Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Cloud Professional (CCP), Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Private Cloud, Certified Administrator for Apache Hadoop (CCAH).Requires Information Assurance Technical (IAT) or Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level II certification as outlined by DOD 8570.Able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug and background check.Current active SECRET clearance and/or base access to a government facility is required.Reasonable Accommodation:
