Responsibilities
Review sales contracts to ensure revenue recognition complies with ASC 606 and company policiesEnsure accurate transfer of sales data from Salesforce CPQ to Sage Intacct for invoicing and revenue recognitionCollaborate with Service Operations to ensure billing accuracy for time tracking and revenue recognitionSupport Sales, Sales Operations, and Accounts Receivable teams with revenue recognition and invoicing mattersUpdate ongoing support revenue start dates to ensure accurate revenue recognitionAssist with month-end close activities, including reconciliations for revenue, deferred revenue, and unbilled revenueConduct monthly revenue analysis and forecastingParticipate in process improvements for the Order to Cash processAssist in technical accounting research and preparation of documentation for accounting standards and policy updatesSupport external audits by preparing schedules and responding to audit queries in a timely mannerMaintain up-to-date knowledge of ASC 606 and other relevant accounting standardsCollaborate on ad-hoc projects assigned by the Technical Accounting TeamQualifications And Skills Required For Revenue Accountant
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required1-3 years of experience in public accounting or at a SaaS companyCPA license or working towards it is a plusStrong understanding of US GAAP and experience with complex accounting mattersExperience with Salesforce CPQ and/or Intacct is a plusTechnical accounting experience is a plusAbility to collaborate effectively across departmentsBenefits of Joining Our Finance Team
