Headquartered in Singapore, with more than 15,000 employees operating from offices around the world, SHEIN is committed to making the beauty of fashion accessible to all, promoting its industry-leading, on-demand production methodology, for a smarter, future-ready industry.Position SummaryWe’re seeking a full-time Tax Manager for our Los Angeles-based corporate office.Job ResponsibilitiesAssist with US and Canada direct and indirect tax compliance projects.Perform monthly account reconciliations for indirect tax liability accounts.Process and document contracts and invoices with external service providers into the Company’s internal approval system. Assist with tax payments and invoices with Treasury.Process incoming tax-related notices and update tax calendar.Assist with indirect and direct tax audits, including preparation of data collection and analysis, reviewing data for accuracy, gathering documentation, and investigating any issues.Assist in documenting, reviewing, and analyzing processes to improve efficiencies and identify opportunities for simplification or tax automation.Assist with establishing tax technology and data strategy (automation, tools, outsourcing/insourcing).Support tax product initiatives due to changes in compliance requirements or legislative/policy changes.Assist with special projects and tax initiatives.Job RequirementsBachelor’s degree with a major or emphasis in Accounting.7+ years of relevant public accounting experience with a proven track record in direct and/or indirect tax compliance.An interest in VAT/indirect tax, and exposure to VAT taxation and compliance.Excellent organizational, analytical, and verbal/written communication skills.Able to read, write, and speak Chinese.Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and accelerated deadlines in a fast-paced, informal work environment.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft business suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.One Source, Vertex, and Alteryx products experience is a plus.Be comfortable working on weekends and holidays when needed.Pay$88,600 – $143,200 max annually.
