As a senior member of our management team you will have the opportunity to plan objectives for your region and ensure management is in compliance with corporate, regional and financial goals. Additionally, you will be responsible for the overall operation, growth and profitability of the region. Your duties will include the management and leadership of Regional Manager and accounts within a defined region.
Candidate must live in Chicago, IL or within a commutable distance to the Chicago, IL.
Key Responsibilities:
Overall P&L accountability for assigned region
Prepares regional budget. Approves regional and account budgets. Prepares variable budgets for sales and projected overhead increases. Responsible for achieving top and bottom-line objectives in regional, area and contract variable and control budgets
Ensures corporate procedures are installed and operating
Ensures company and client capital assets are secured and maintained in first class working condition.
Approves capital requests within budgeted levels
Ensures contract price adjustments are prepared by Regional Managers promptly
Responsible for achieving budgeted regional new sales objectives through selling and on services, public bid contracts and own selling
Prepares all costing for new contracts and supports new sales proposals
Responsible for negotiating contract renewals
Maintains direct contact with Clients at least every three months and as needed
Ensures account priorities are defined and met. Attends QBR’s
Meets both company's and client's quality standards. Ensures quality control systems and documentations are maintained
Recruits and trains Regional Managers. Assists in selection and training of account manager
Negotiates labor disputes with unions assisted by Vice President Human Resources or Director Human Resources
Ensures corporate policies and procedures are adhered to in the division
Reports to Division President on region's activities; including but not limited to, variances from budgets on previous P&L statements, customer relations, quality, recruitment, management needs, management training, contract renegotiations, sales gained by operations (copied home office), debtors, profit projections, losses and unstable accounts and plans
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Strong background in a senior leadership role with exposure to contract management, customer service, people development
Proven experience in successfully managing P&L budgets in Facilities Management Departments
Must have a proven track record and knowledge of growing a business
Exhibits strong communication, presentation and listening skills
Ability to multi-task, establish priorities, and maintain organization in a changing environment
Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership
Must have strong analytical skills
Proficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Extensive travel required in this position
