JOB SUMMARY:
The
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
at REDCO is a key executive who works closely with the CEO and Chief Economist to provide financial leadership and oversight throughout the Sicangu Co ecosystem. The CFO is responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of the ecosystem and providing strategic financial guidance to support the economic strategy. This role involves managing financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The CFO will play a critical role in fostering financial sustainability and growth while aligning financial decisions with the broader economic objectives of the Sicangu Co ecosystem.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Financial Planning and Analysis:
Collaborate with the Chief Economist and other senior leaders to align financial plans with the economic strategy of the Sicangu Co ecosystem.
Conduct financial analysis, including revenue projections, cost analysis, and financial modeling, to support decision-making processes.
Budget Planning and Oversight:
Lead the budgeting process for the Sicangu Co ecosystem, ensuring that financial budgets align with strategic priorities.
Monitor and analyze budget performance, identify deviations, and provide recommendations for cost optimization, resource allocation and business operations for REDCO and its subsidiaries, and the affiliated Sicangu Co nonprofits.
Financial Reporting:
Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports to the CEO, board of directors, and other stakeholders.
Provide financial insights and recommendations based on the analysis of financial data.
Risk Management:
Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively.
Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
Capital Management and Financing:
Evaluate the organization's capital structure and make recommendations for optimal funding strategies.
Manage relationships with financial institutions and stakeholders for debt financing, equity financing or grants, as required.
Financial Leadership:
Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to finance and accounting teams within the organization.
Foster a culture of financial discipline and accountability across the Sicangu Co ecosystem.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Bachelor's or master's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership position.
Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Solid understanding of economic concepts and ability to collaborate effectively with the leadership team and board of directors.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and strategic financial analysis.
Knowledge of the specific industries and economic factors relevant to the Sicangu Co ecosystem.
Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and seize business opportunities.
Experience in building and leading cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing economic conditions and priorities.
