SUMMARY Reporting to the CEO, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a critical role in driving financial strategy, ensuring robust financial health, and supporting the company's growth objectives. The CFO will oversee all financial operations, including planning, budgeting, accounting, and reporting, while providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and executive team. The CFO is responsible for supervision of the company’s finance and accounting functions. In this role, the CFO will lead and mentor the company’s finance and accounting team including the Accounting Manager and Accountants. Core responsibilities include financial planning, analysis, treasury, financial control, as well as reporting and accounting functions, function, or sub-function and the talent required to execute strategies in job area. Additionally, this role is responsible for developing mid to long-term plans for optimizing the organization. The successful candidate for this role must have an attitude of servant leadership to build trust between peers, support commitment to the company, and encourage teamwork while proactively pursing opportunities to maximize value of assets consistent with the company’s current strategy and goals. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES General Financial Operations, Strategy, and Planning Leads and mentors the finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Promotes collaboration and cross-functional teamwork within the organization. Ensures the finance team is equipped with the skills and resources needed to support the company’s growth. Oversees financial and accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and tax planning. Develops and implements financial strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives. Leads long-term financial planning and capital allocation strategies. Advises the CEO and executive team on financial implications and risk management of strategic decisions. Manages the company’s capital structure, financing strategies, and investor relations. Leads the annual budgeting process and ensures alignment with strategic goals. Provides accurate and timely financial forecasts to support business planning and decision-making. Monitors and analyzes financial performance, identifying trends and variances. Risk Management and Internal Controls Develops and implements robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy. Oversees risk management practices, including insurance, hedging strategies, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Ensures the integrity of financial information and reporting systems. Maintains compliance with financial regulations and standards (GAAP/IFRS). Liaises with external auditors, tax preparers, and the Audit Committee. Investor Relations Serves as the primary point of contact for investors, analysts, and financial stakeholders. Prepares and presents financial reports, earnings releases, and investor presentations. Fosters strong relationships with the investment community to support capital raising efforts. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES High level of integrity and ethical standards. Proficiency in financial modeling, analysis, and capital markets. Experience with ERP systems and financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle). Proficiency in WolfePak accounting software

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or other related field required. An MBA or CPA is strongly preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in the upstream oil and gas industry. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial management. Extensive knowledge of the upstream oil and gas industry, including exploration, production, and financial challenges unique to the sector. Familiarity with industry-specific financial metrics, risk management practices, and regulatory requirements. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing finance team. Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with executive leadership, investors, and stakeholders.
