The CT Technologist, under direct supervision, uses Siemens computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patient’s internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues.Summary of Essential Duties:Accurately interpret a physician’s scanning instructionsAdminister contrast materialPrepare and operate CT scan equipmentAbility to position patient to capture appropriate imagesSend images to Radiologist for interpretation/readingCleans and disinfects patient roomsFollow infection control and safety guidelines
Qualifications
Education:Graduate of a two-year approved School of Radiologic Technology program requiredLicense/Certifications:American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiologist certification (ARRT-R) requiredCalifornia Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association requiredAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT certification (ARRT-CT) preferred or willing to obtain within one year from start dateVenipuncture certification requiredExperience:A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Scan Technologist preferredAt least 6 months of experience with Siemens brand scanners preferred
