How will you fight for an AIDS-free generation?

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join the External Affairs team as a Coordinator, Digital Communications. The Coordinator will be responsible for various tasks related to social media, internal communications, digital marketing, and storytelling (i.e., maintaining photo and video library), as well as administrative tasks. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills and a passion for communications.

No two days are alike at EGPAF, but what can you expect in this role?

Administrative Support

Assist the Digital team with project management and coordination of project management software, AirTable.Assist with tracking digital metrics, and compiling quarterly reports based on information for the Associate Director, Communications & Digital Strategy and Vice President, External Affairs and Communications.

Internal Communications

Support execution of organizational internal communications strategy, including working with Vice President, External Affairs and Communications and the Executive team to develop and maintain organizational editorial calendar for internal vehicles (newsletter, CEO/Exec updates) and soliciting submissions for key internal stakeholders.Support execution of promotional support of internal organizational campaigns and activities including Open Enrollment and World AIDS Day.Draft content for internal communications materials (i.e., newsletter, etc.) and support dissemination.Draft agenda and support execution of Town Halls, domestic, and global staff meetings, etc.

Multimedia & Storytelling

Organize and maintain photo, video, and audio library, ensuring files are properly labeled, tagged, and easily accessible.Organize and maintain photo consent forms. Work with Lead Storyteller to archive photos and videos that fall outside of usage window.Coordinate with staff as needed to ensure that best practices are followed in terms of consent, photography/videography, and stories.

Social Media

Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and engage with our online community in coordination with the Associate Officer, Digital Marketing.Manage minor updates to the website such as RFP uploads, correcting links, and updating outdated information with support from Associate Officer, Digital Marketing.

To be successful, you will have:

1-2 years of relevant experience in communications, media relations, social media management, or related field.Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong proofreading and copy-editing skills.Social media understanding, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on new challenges.

Bonus points if you have:

Experience using project management systems and software such as AirTable or Asana preferred.Familiarity with Adobe suite (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere) for basic photo and video editing preferred.Basic knowledge of website content management systems (CMS), WordPress preferred.Understanding global health issues.

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this position is $40,000 - $50,000 annually in the Washington, DC Metro area. This position is non-exempt and paid hourly. For US-based remote staff, EGPAF uses geographical ranges that are based on the candidate's location and the associated cost of labor.

Actual base salary compensation will be determined by factors such as qualifications, experience and training, education and certifications, internal equity, external market data, and budget.
