General Summary

The Sr. Network Engineer will oversee all network components across Nature's Sunshine's global network. This role supports, maintains, implements, and monitors the daily operations of LAN, WAN, telephones, cloud infrastructure, and VoIP, including network security. This position will manage project plans and resources to ensure all communication technologies and systems' availability, fault tolerance, and security. This position will partner with other teams to analyze, evaluate, acquire, and install network hardware, software, and facilities. This position is a crucial contributor to the IT Cybersecurity Committee and corporate Data Breach Response team.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesReview and evaluate network monitoring, systems, and vendors to maintain high operational standards and maximum service availability.Configuration of network routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, internet connections, and cloud components.Respond to network-related issues and resolve problems reasonably and according to urgency.Monitor the network for unauthorized access attempts or service interruptions and respond rapidly when they occur.Work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment, identifying risks and opportunities.Member of the Change Advisory Board.Stay informed of network security best practices and industry changes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

Knowledge: Expert understanding of Cisco and Palo Alto networking hardware, software, and design. Expert knowledge of load balancers, Web Application Filters, Firewalls, Virtual Private Networks, cloud design, and infrastructure as code. Strong understanding of cloud networking, computing concepts, and zero-trust security models.

Skill: Excellent at managing multiple projects. Expert at communicating concepts verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical workforces. Excellent at troubleshooting and making highly specialized solutions valuable to the company.

Ability: Able to self-prioritize and manage time to meet deadlines and obligations. Cultivate a positive work environment with a 'can-do' attitude. Able to work irregular hours and overtime hours as required. Must be able to travel internationally if needed.

Experience/Education

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum ten years experience in network infrastructure maintenance and support, including support of complex Wide Area Networks. Experience managing and leading complex projects. Cisco CCIE or equivalent certification.
