The South Pointe Internal Medicine Residency is part of Cleveland Clinic’s South Pointe Hospital, Primary Care Institute. The South Pointe IM residency is a unique community-based program with a strong history of osteopathic principles and a very collaborative core team. It is accredited by the ACGME with osteopathic recognition and currently offers 12 categorical residency positions.The IM Residency Program Director has responsibility, authority and accountability for the operation of the Internal Residency program. The new Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program will be a DO or MD with ABIM certification and possesses requisite clinical, educational, and administrative experience beyond residency training.They will play a key role with stakeholder communication and leadership in the milieu of GME at South Pointe and the Cleveland Clinic. The IM Program Director will dedicate no less than 50% of their professional effort to the administrative and educational activities of the internal medicine residency program and will receive institutional support for this time.
