A law firm located in Omaha, NE, is seeking a Business and Estate Planning Attorney with 5-10 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive legal advice on entity formation, asset transactions, business succession planning, and estate planning and administration. The candidate should be proactive, detail-oriented, organized, and possess excellent communication and writing skills. A portable book of business is a plus. The candidate must be licensed to practice law in Nebraska or have the ability to become licensed in Nebraska in the near future.Duties and Responsibilities:Advise clients on the formation of business entities, including drafting and reviewing formation documents such as articles of incorporation, bylaws, and operating agreements.Draft and negotiate asset purchase and sale agreements and other transactional documents related to mergers and acquisitions.Develop and implement business succession plans to ensure smooth transitions for business owners.Provide estate planning services, including drafting wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.Manage estate and trust administration, including probate proceedings and trust administration.Collaborate with clients to address their specific business and estate planning needs and objectives.Conduct legal research and stay informed about relevant laws and regulations affecting business and estate planning.Maintain and build client relationships, and provide high-quality legal advice and representation.Requirements:5-10 years of relevant experience in business law, estate planning, and estate administration.Proactive, detail-oriented, and organized with excellent communication and writing skills.A portable book of business is considered a plus.Licensed to practice law in Nebraska or have the ability to become licensed in Nebraska in the near future.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the State Bar of Nebraska (or eligibility for admission).Skills:Expertise in business formation, mergers and acquisitions, and business succession planning.Proficiency in estate planning and estate and trust administration.Strong drafting, negotiation, and transactional skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Ability to manage complex cases and provide strategic legal advice.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
