Public Company Associate Attorney

A law firm in Washington, D.C., seeks a Public Company Associate Attorney to join their team. The role involves closely collaborating with the Public Company Advisory group to provide support in day-to-day securities law counseling, SEC reporting, and corporate governance matters. The ideal candidate should have 4 or 5 years of experience advising public companies on securities law compliance, disclosure, and corporate governance. Superior academic credentials, strong communication skills, a solid understanding of securities laws, and a demonstrated interest in public company compliance and corporate governance are essential.Duties:Collaborate with the Public Company Advisory group to provide securities law counseling.Assist in SEC reporting and compliance for public companies.Offer guidance on corporate governance matters.Conduct legal research and analysis on securities laws and regulations.Draft and review legal documents related to securities filings and corporate governance.Provide advice on disclosure requirements and best practices for public companies.Participate in due diligence for corporate transactions involving public companies.Requirements:4 or 5 years of experience advising public companies on securities law compliance, disclosure, and corporate governance matters.Superior academic credentials from a reputable law school.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Demonstrated understanding of securities laws and regulations.Interest in public company compliance and corporate governance.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the District of Columbia Bar or eligibility for reciprocity.Skills:Proficiency in securities law compliance and SEC reporting.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.Collaborative team player with excellent organizational skills.Familiarity with corporate transactions involving public companies.
