Public Company Associate Attorney

A Menlo Park, CA, law firm seeks a Public Company Associate Attorney to join their team. The role involves working closely with the Public Company Advisory group to provide day-to-day securities law counseling, SEC reporting, and corporate governance assistance. The ideal candidate will have 4 or 5 years of experience advising public companies on securities law compliance, disclosure, and corporate governance matters, along with superior academic credentials and strong communication skills.Duties:Collaborate with the Public Company Advisory group to provide securities law counseling.Assist with SEC reporting and compliance for public companies.Provide guidance on corporate governance matters.Conduct legal research and analysis on securities laws and regulations.Draft and review legal documents, including securities filings and corporate governance materials.Advise on disclosure requirements and best practices for public companies.Assist with due diligence for corporate transactions involving public companies.Requirements:4 or 5 years of experience advising public companies on securities law compliance, disclosure, and corporate governance matters.Superior academic credentials from a reputable law school.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Demonstrated understanding of securities laws and regulations.Interest in public company compliance and corporate governance.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the California State Bar or eligibility for reciprocity.Skills:Proficiency in securities law compliance and SEC reporting.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Attention to detail and ability to work effectively under pressure.Collaborative team player with excellent organizational skills.Familiarity with corporate transactions involving public companies.
