Workers Compensation Attorney

for our client, a law firm dedicated to providing efficient and effective legal representation in

Dallas, TX .

OVERVIEW:In this role, you will represent clients in workers' compensation claims, providing expert legal advice and defending against claims to achieve favorable outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in workers' compensation law, excellent litigation skills, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide in-depth knowledge and interpretation of workers' compensation laws, regulations, and relevant case precedents.Defend insurance companies against workers' compensation claims, including understanding policy language, coverage issues, and related legal implications.Represent clients effectively in hearings, trials, and appeals, demonstrating strong courtroom presence and litigation skills.Manage a high-volume caseload from inception to resolution, including conducting investigations, managing discovery, and preparing for trial.Maintain detailed case files and ensure all critical deadlines are met through exceptional organizational skills.Evaluate case facts, identify legal issues, and develop strategic case plans with strong analytical skills.Pay close attention to detail when reviewing medical records, legal documents, and case evidence.Present arguments, cross-examine witnesses, and negotiate settlements with excellent verbal communication skills.Draft briefs, motions, pleadings, and correspondence with superior legal writing abilities.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders.Negotiate settlements and mediate disputes to secure optimal results for clients.Utilize legal research tools and databases to stay updated on changes in workers' compensation law and case law.

QUALIFICATIONS:Juris Doctor and Texas Bar License required.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in workers' compensation defense litigation.Strong understanding of workers' compensation laws, procedures, and regulations.Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and Clio.

COMPENSATION:This opportunity offers an annual base salary of $120,000 to $150,000 with total compensation exceeding $130,000-$165,000 with bonuses. As well as comprehensive benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, PTO, and paid holidays).
