Merchandising

Licensing

Assistant

to join the team located in Santa Monica, CA. The Merchandising will support the MD Licensing division for the development and distribution of Aniplex of America Inc.'s Licensed products, participation to anime related conventions, hosting of a pop-up shop or importing anime related products. This position requires skills for internal and external communication. The ideal candidate will take the initiative to act proactively to achieve division goals and possess strong organizational skills with an eye for detail. This is an entry-level role for someone who can demonstrate a strong work ethic, and a desire to grow within the industry.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIESMonitor and ensure the timely submission of quarterly reports by licensees, reviewing data submitted and raising questions where applicable;Manage and maintain licensee data and contractual information - as well as assets, including product submissions, quality assurance procedures, and sales materials - including the input of information into a royalty management system;Creating POs, Invoices, and other documents as required for internal operations, and assisting with the creation and submission of various reports requested by headquarters in Japan.Manage and track the flow of licensee product samples from global licensees including the receipt of boxes to our office and the preparation and distribution of samples and other materials to headquarters in Japan and other stakeholders Efficiently organize and update licensee information, providing timely support for specific licensee requests.Complete submission forms as required by headquarters in Japan for and through the product approval process in Japanese.Perform other duties as needed.QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITIONYour qualifications and experience should include:

Japanese/English Bilingual (High Level Japanese ability required)Past experience and knowledge in the anime industry is highly preferredAvailability to travel for business trips to out of state conventionsBachelor's degreeStrong attention to details and accuracyStrong organizational, interpersonal and analytical skillsStrong management and communication skillsStrong proficiency in Excel (experience with PivotTables and VLookups a plus)Strong problem solving skillsProficiency in Microsoft Windows and OfficeIllustration / photoshop skills preferredMust be available for business trips/travelStrong with numbers and attentive to detailsEligible to work unrestricted in the USAThis position requires the

The target annualized base salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000. The individual will be paid hourly and eligible for overtime. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
