Description

A well-known, global law firm is seeking an Intellectual Property Litigation Paralegal to provide support to the local IP&T and Litigation Practitioners, as well as the national IP&T and Commercial Litigation Practice Groups. This role involves collaborating with various teams and overseeing a range of vital responsibilities to ensure seamless litigation processes.

Responsibilities

Assist with all phases of litigation and patent litigation, including:Pre-filing investigationsPreparing motion and pleading templatesFiling briefs while adhering to court rulesPreparing exhibits and managing facts and documentsMonitoring dockets and managing calendarsCollaborate with Litigation Support and external service providers to maintain electronic document repositories and track electronic document production.Provide assistance during discovery phases, including:Privilege reviews and logsPreparation of discovery templatesDocument production and oversight of subpoenasDeposition preparation and summaries.Cite check and proofread legal documents.Prepare filings for courts and government agencies.Oversee the service and publication of notices and filings.Maintain hard copy and electronic litigation files from lawsuit initiation through trial and appeal.Conduct factual and legal research using databases like Westlaw, PACER, and the USPTO.Additional duties as assigned based on the needs of the position.

Experience & Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree required, or equivalent Paralegal Certificate and experience.Minimum of 5 years in providing high-quality service in a legal environment.Experience with litigation files, discovery, legal research, and trial preparation.Preferred experience with ITC, IPR filings, and familiarity with the USPTO website.Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team.Capacity to meet deadlines and manage pressure effectively.Professional demeanor with attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.Ability to provide direction and training to junior team members.Must maintain confidentiality with sensitive information and documents.
