What We're Looking For:Are you a hard-working and dedicated college student who is looking to gain valuable work experience in your field? Do you want to gain experience while learning from great mentors and leaders? Barge Design Solutions is looking for someone like you to intern with us next summer.
Location: Nashville, TN
Number of positions available: 1
Schedule: Summer 2025
You will be involved in the following types of projects:Industrial and commercial building design projectsWater/wastewater treatment structuresEarth retention structuresYou will gain experience in:
Preparation of framing and foundation plans, sections, and detailsPreparation of structural calculations, including the use of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) softwareReviewing construction submittals, such as shop drawings and product dataSupporting Engineers in completing project deliverablesCollaborating with team members on new ideas/innovationsUsing Autodesk REVITEducation & Experience Qualifications:
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree from an accredited universityMajor: Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a Structural EmphasisPreference will be given to students that do not require sponsorshipCurrent GPA of 3.2 or higherYou must be at least 18 years of age.
Additional Details:
This is a paid internship working full-time hours (40) per week.This is an in-person work opportunity.Interns are not eligible for company benefits.Housing assistance is not provided.Why join us?
